Remember Others!

Do you wish for Allah SWT to forgive you....of course we all want that! Do you wish to earn some easy good deeds especially as we are in the blessed month of Ramadan? When I say easy then I do mean easy as all that is required is to ask Allah SWT to forgive your brothers & sisters in Islam just as you would like for Him to forgive you:

Narrated ‘Ubaadah that the Messenger of Allah said, “Whoever seeks forgiveness for the believing men and believing women, Allah will write for him a good deed for EACH believing man and believing woman.” [at-Tabarani, classed as hasan by al-Albani]

There are over 1.5 billion Muslims in this world. Every good deed in Ramadan is multiplied by 70 or more so everytime we make dua for every Muslim we will gain 105 billion good deeds. Subhan'Allah!

But can you imagine how many good deeds we can gain if we made dua for every Muslim that ever lived from Adam (AS) until the last Muslim on this Earth. The rewards will go into the trillions!

Remember on the day of judgement we will be going crazy for just one good deed but no one will give us any. This is our chance to gain trillions of good deeds in just seconds. We need these deeds!

So raise those hands after your salah, when you are doing dhikr etc and ask Allah SWT forgiveness for yourself as well as your fellow muslims.....you have nothing to lose....only to GAIN!

Build a House!

Why not build yourself a beautiful house in jannah....not sure how?
Its pretty simple:
Praying the 12 sunnah prayers each day: ' Allah will build a house in Jannah for whoever is diligent in observing 12 sunnah rakat (as follows) 4 rakat before and 2 after Dhur, 2 after the Maghrib, 2 after Ishaa, and 2 before Fajr.' (Tirmidhi)
Umm Habibah Ramilah bint Abu Sufyan (RA) narrated she heard the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) saying: “A house will be built in Paradise for every Muslim who offers twelve units of Prayers other than the obligatory ones in day and night, to seek pleasure of Allah.” (Muslim)

Well what are you waiting for.....Start from now!

Ramadan 2011

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
http://blogs.bootsnall.com/djf/archives/images/Ramadan%20Mubarik.jpg

Just a few days left for the month of Mercy, the month of forgiveness, the month when the blesssed Quran was revealed, the blessed month of Ramadan. This is the month when we abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sunset....But why do we fast?  Is it to feel what the poor feel, is it to make ourselves fitter etc. Of course to actually experience the hunger the less privileged go through and then to thank Allah for bestowing His bounties upon us is good but the real reason we fast is to gain taqwa (God consciousness). Allah SWT is the only reason we should be fasting for, we fast as He (God) has commanded us to; the One who has created us always knows what is best for us:-

“O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you as it has been prescribed for people before you so that you will (learn how to) attain Taqwa” ( 2:183)

One thing we must remember to do is to  renew our intentions...we have to remind ourselves why we are fasting. Also another thing that has become a norm is the over indulging of food....this has to stop as Ramadan is not a 30 day eating contest where we have to throw in as much food as we can when we break our fast....that is not the reason we have been commanded to fast. This month is a blessing, lets try and reap as many blessings as we can Insha'Allah.
May Allah help us all to make every fast this Ramadan a shield in the Hereafter. May Allah not make us one of those who do not get anything from their fasts except for hunger and thirst. And May Allah guide us towards making this Ramadan a source for gathering numerous blessings and getting our major and minor sins forgiven. And the most important thing is may we continue to strive once this honourable guest has left us, Ameen.

Your soul will be taken back to who it belongs

Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi Raaji'oon meaning:

But do we REALLY, TRULY understand these words and their implications in our life?

It means …whatever we have is not really ours. It belongs to Allah. We belong to Allah

Each day that passes, each day we breathe, each day we go about our lives, sinning or doing good, is but a day closer to our end, closer to our return to Allah SWT....time is running out so ‘Take Account of yourself before you are accounted for’.

Small matters!

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Alhamdulillah many of us recite surah al-Kahf(18) on Fridays as recommended by our beloved Prophet PBUH who said : “Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.” .....keeping this beautiful light in mind we exert ourselves to recite before Friday is over.

http://files.myopera.com/muhacir/blog/149782_172557416104519_100000507846581_545903_5997254_n.jpg

Surah Kahf  contains 4 very interesting stories that unveil special lessons for our practical lives.
One of them is the story  of 2 companions, one of whom was blessed with a lush, profitable garden with springs that made him arrogant and boastful towards his poor companion, he rejected the idea of his wealth ever ceasing.
The poorer companion tries to mend the polytheistic belief of his rich companion, who rejected the reality of the hereafter just because of his immense wealth  in this world. This tale is truly an eye-opening reminder for anyone who has let their wealth get to their head! In the end, Allah destroyed his garden and he was left turning his wrists in despair as all his fruit lay fallen around him.

This story highlights  the trial of money. Some people get busy adding to their richness and forget to thank the main source,  the One who has bestowed them this wealth in the first place, the One & Only Allah SWT. Being grateful for what ever we have been bestowed with is so important because when you are truly thankful to Allah SWT, He will give you more......something I strongly believe in!

The purpose of this blog entry is not the stories from surah Kahf, in fact its regarding a verse that is in that surah that makes me anxious & worried every time I come across it. It is Verse 49 where Allah SWT tells us:

“And the Book is placed, and thou seest the guilty fearful of that which is therein, and they say: What kind of a Book is this that leaveth not a small thing nor a great thing but hath counted it! And they find all that they did confronting them, and thy Lord wrongeth no-one.”

This ayah is so frightening......we go about our daily business making sure we avoid all the big things that will go against us on the day of Judgement but what about all the little things that we just  ignore thinking no big deal....the verse clearly states that this book that we will be given will not leave out anything big or ‘Little’! We are going to be accounted for every deed, large or small & not one shall be left out.....we may commit various deeds & forget about them, but they are being recorded for us to witness on the day of Reckoning.....the Day of Regret.....how Awful will that be!Can you even begin to imagine!!!!

Forget the big sins like lying, cheating, backbiting etc we are going to witness all the petty things, all the little white lies, all the swearing that we thought nothing of going against us.....Isn’t it time we really started to reflect about the reality of the akirah as time is running out....we are in March, it seems it was only yesterday that I was celebrating Eid & guess what Ramadan is round the corner again.....only 6 months left......where has the time gone!!!

Remember every time we do a sin a black dot appears on our heart, in the same way that pebbles make mountains these small sins will add up and will eventually blacken our hearts completely, and will outweigh major sins.

Jannah is Expensive, what PRICE are we willing to pay? Work for the Akhira (Hereafter) as if you will die tomorrow and work for the Dunya (the present world) as if you will live forever.

May this reminder be of benefit as Allah SWT tells us "And Remind for verily a reminder benefits the believer"(51:55)

Virtues of Surah Mulk

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim ,
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful .

Surah Mulk is the 67th chapter of the Holy Quran and what a beautiful surah it is. It begins with the words " Blessed be He in Whose hand is the Dominion and He has power over all things."

It is reported from ibn ‘Abbas (ra) who said that one of the Prophet’s companions set up his tent over a grave without realising that it was a grave and it contained a man who was reciting the Surah al-Mulk up to the end. He went and told the Prophet (saw) who said: “It is The Defender; it is The Protector which safeguards from the punishment of the grave.” (Tirmidhi )

The Prophet said: "I wish that 'Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion' is in the heart of every believer."

Abu Hurairah (ra) narrates that the Prophet said: "There is a Surah in the Quran of thirty ayat which intercedes for its reciter until he is forgiven. (It is): Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion."(Ahmad)

Subhanallah these hadith tells us why we should be reciting this surah daily....it will save us from the punishment of the grave as that is our first destination when we die and if that goes well then Inshallah everything else should fall into place.

Below is a video that I composed to help with the memorisation of this virtuous surah:

R8 - Fantastic Design

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
The R8, What a car....a fantastic drive!!!! I have been fortunate enough to be driven around in such an awesome piece of design. Not just once but a few times and it does bring a huge smile to my face. Its got so much class , a 4.2 V8 mid engine from the Audi RS4, 414 bhp , top speed is 187mph and the sweetest rumble that I've come across. Your probably wondering how comes I know so much about cars, it's because I'm married to a car fanatic and it's always good to gain knowledge, it's good for the system.
Why I am so impressed with the R8 is because it's such a beautiful design.....but what is TRULY amazing is the creator who has given man the intelligence to build such a work of art. Allah SWT has blessed us all with different types of talents, some people are creative and so create mind blowing machinery, everyone of us uses our talents in different areas of our life and if we look around we see so many examples of what man has created but it's the Almighty who has given us this ability.
If we are impressed at man made things then what about the creator and what he has created.....the sun, the source of all life, the moon , the stars, the heavens, the Earth, all the planets .....the list is endless. Just look at your own self .....eyes , ears , mouth, nose, how beautifully they are all put together......God is truly amazing.
As Allah says in Surah Baqarah (2) Ayah 164:-
" Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alteration of night and day, and the ships which sail through the sea with that which is of use to mankind, and the water (rain) which Allah sends down from the sky and makes the earth alive therewith after it's death, and the moving (living) creatures of all kinds that he has scattered therein, and in the veering of winds and clouds which are held between the sky and the earth, are indeed signs for men of understanding."
The R8 might be a fantastic design but the ultimate DESIGNER.....Allah SWT deserves to be worshipped because his design that is every thing we see, touch feel , taste has to be loved and admired!!!

Jumu'ah Mubarak!!

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillah, Praise be to Allah...Can you believe its Friday (Jumu'ah) again! Friday is such a special day in Islam, it's the day Adam (AS) was created, on this day he entered Paradise and on this day he came out of it! This is narrated by Abu Hurairah in Muslim. This is also the day Judgement day will take place...may Allah SWT save us from the fear of that day Ameen.
Reading Surah Al-Kahf (Surah 18) on Friday is so beneficial because you will be blessed with a light from the creator between the two Jumu'ahs(that Friday & the following Friday)...Isn't that just wonderful...Alhamdulillah I've already implemented that in my life and I feel its definitely made a huge difference in my daily routines....You've got to read with pure belief and Subhanallah you will notice yourselves the change that occurs...Alhamdulillah!!
Oh yeah today during my Quran class in the Masjid there was a tiny little girl, probably about 1-2 years old, really cute & she was wearing this jean dress and she kept putting pens in her dress and they kept falling out & she kept putting them in thinking she had a pocket..it was just so cute and funny ...I can still picture her but I was just admiring her because little children are such a blessing, they are so innocent and so pure. They are so close to Allah SWT. Only learning about Islam and abiding by it has made me realise of little blessings that are around us...We have a lot to be thankful for. That little girl was really the highlight of my day, she brought such a smile to my face and made me appreciate the one who created me....With that happy note I finish my blog and make dua for myself and the Ummah of Propher Muhammad PBUH!

Alhamdulillah!

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim ,
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful .

All praise is due to Allah and Allah alone who has given me this opportunity to talk about my passion which is Islam. By joining the blog race I can talk about all the little things I'm learning on a daily basis, about my Islamic experiences, my feelings , my thoughts and maybe somebody might just benefit a TINY little bit from them..Inshallah! Blogging seems to suit me to the letter simply because many times I have wanted to share with others what I've learnt but unfortunately the most important people in my life are either too busy or they just don't want to know! Never mind...that's life!!!!!

Before I go on to share a poem I wrote a few weeks ago when I was so overwhelmed by the fact that I had been blessed with Islam I just want to thank my sis-in-law (hubby's sis) who actually made this possible for me and set this whole thing up and even gave me the name of Strongiman, although I am working on that part. Its people like her who are special and you know you can rely on them in times of need. May Allah reward her for her wonderful effort in this world and the Akhirah(hereafter) Ameen! The title of my blog For the love of God actually comes from my darling daughter who one day said to me " For the love of God mum, stop picking on me"...although that sounded sweet , it actually brought tears to my eyes......sometimes I can go on, not in the best way!!!!

I am going to end my first ever blog with a poem that I wrote in the car titled ALHAMDULILLAH! Its just basically thanking Allah SWT for every thing he has blessed me with.....we can NEVER thank him enough.

Alhamdulillah for the moment that I wake

Oh Allah forgive me for all the mistakes that I make

Alhamdulillah for the blessing of Islam

Oh Allah fill my heart with peace and calm

Alhamdulillah for the steps that I take

Oh Allah let these steps be only for your sake

Alhamdulillah for my beating heart

Oh Allah when my soul is taken do not let it be ripped apart

Alhamdulillah for every part of me

Oh Allah make me remember you constantly

Alhamdulillah for my family and friends

Oh Allah bless us all with good ends

Alhamdulillah for making me just me

Oh Allah it is your blessed face that I long to see..
ALHAMDULILLAH, ALHAMDULILLAH, ALHAMDULILLAH (Praise be to Allah)

So I have now finally come to the end ....May Allah accept it from me, we have to make sure that everything we do is ONLY for the sake of the creator and only then we shall succeed in this world and the next.
